BASILISK SERPENT PENDANT
This pendant holds a powerful creature, a male Basilisk named Malvoli. The Basilisk is called the "king of serpents," a reptilian creature sometimes manifesting with rooster-like qualities as well, who is infamously known for its ability to kill with a single glance. Like its bird-lizard cousin, the Cockatrice, basilisks are said to be born from a union of serpents and roosters. Basilisks are born from the egg of a snake that was hatched by a cockerel.
This entity, like many of his dark arts brethren, is a supreme spirit of both protection and vengeance, from threats both spiritual and physical, though the bound Basilisk cannot kill or physically harm his foes. He can however visit the dreams of your enemies, and bring about crushing fear, panic attacks, and high levels of stress and discord. Malvoli manifests in the mind's eye as a huge, coal black snake with amber markings, and expressive reddish-gold eyes. He has a large plume of feathery membranes on the top of his head, and his body is thick and powerful. Basilisk energy is extremely potent, strong enough for even those with the least developed senses to pick up easily. Though he is considered a dark arts being, his nature is not inherently evil – he does have the capacity to form friendships based on true affection and respect, and he will make a loyal spiritual companion.
